A Mountain Home woman, 24-year-old Caitlyn K. Bradford, made her first court appearance Thursday on felony drug charges. She made her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court from the Marion County jail via Skype, with her rights and charges explained to her. No plea was entered.

Bradford, who was wanted on a warrant out of Marion County, was arrested in Bull Shoals after a call came into city hall advising that she had been seen at the Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock.

According to the arrest affidavit, an officer from the Bull Shoals Police Department attempted to locate Bradford at the boat dock and observed a vehicle with three individuals inside, one of whom he believed to be the Mountain Home woman. Unable to make a positive identification, he followed the vehicle for two blocks where it pulled into a business parking lot.

After Bradford exited the vehicle, the Bull Shoals officer approached her and asked if she was aware there was a warrant for her arrest. Bradford advised the officer she had taken care of all of her warrants.

A check with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the outstanding warrant. With the assistance of two other law enforcement officers, a search was conducted of the vehicle. Bradford allegedly told officers there was methamphetamine in the vehicle, and it belonged to her.

Officers located a black box holding three plastic bags containing a clear, crystal type substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, along with a pipe. The combined contents of the bags totaled 1.6 grams.

Bradford has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, all felony offenses. Her bond was set at $31,745.
