The Bennet Creek Band featured at block party on the square

The Bennet Creek Band is this week’s headliner for the eighth series of Mountain Home’s Friday Night Block Party on the Square. The show is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 Friday evening. This weeks sponsor is Integrity First Bank.

According to Event Coordinator Ron Shire, The Bennett Creek Band, from Caulfield, has played together for several years. The band features Steve Cole on lead guitar, steel guitar, banjo and vocals. Steve’s wife, Cindy on keyboard and vocals and his mother, Sue on Fiddle. Bill Talley plays rhythm guitar and vocals.

Jim Dutton and Jeff Martin from Mountain Home joined the band 6 years ago. Dutton is master of ceremonies and plays rhythm guitar and vocals. Martin plays bass guitar. Jayme Patterson from Mountain Home joined the band about a year ago and plays drums.

Friday Night Block Party is a family event and will be held every Friday evening starting at 7:00 on the Mountain Home Square through September eighth. The family friendly event will have door prizes, food vendors and lots of fun for all. Holy Smokes will be on hand with their BBQ, as well as funnel cakes, hot dogs, fresh squeezed lemonade and ice cream.
