Arkansas Democratic chairman to speak at Fulton Co. Democrats meeting

The Fulton County Democrats will welcome Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman and State Representative Michael John Gray as their guest speaker Monday evening. The meeting will be held in the Hickinbotham-Miller Building at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Salem. Social time will start at 5:30, and the meeting will begin a half hour later.

Gray represents District 47 including portions of Independence, Jackson, White and Woodruff Counties in eastern Arkansas. The Augusta resident served as the House Minority Leader, but he later resigned after being elected to his position in the state’s Democratic Party.

Gray is also a farmer, a board member of the Augusta Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Woodruff Company Farm Bureau and the secretary of the Arkansas Peanut Growers Association. He has an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Logistics from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He later attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law and earned a Juris Doctorate.
