Approximately 100 motorcycle enthusiasts were on deck for Saturday’s Make a Difference Benefit Ride with proceeds to go to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. According to event coordinator Candy Barnes, $2,903 was raised with the funds to be earmarked for the Back Pack program for disadvantaged school children in Baxter County schools. The Back Pack program provides food to children who don’t have enough to eat over the weekends. Kids who live in households where food is not a priority get most of their nutritional needs met by the school breakfast and lunch programs.

The final event for the fundraiser is Monday. Chilis, located at 2785 U.S. Highway 62 in Mountain Home, will offer a ten percent donation to the program by mentioning the Make a Difference backpack ride when tabs are received.
