Rashel Katrina Farnam of rural Mountain Home has been arrested again, this time for felony possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. She is currently awaiting a court appearance for separate charges of two counts of second degree forgery in addition to allegedly stealing jewelry and other items from the home of relatives along Buzzard Roost Road. In the newest case she is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.According to the arrest affidavit, at 12:30 Sunday morning Mountain Home Police Officers made contact with Farnam after she contacted dispatch wanting to speak to an officer. She was located at Clysta Willet Park and appeared to be under the influence. At some point during the encounter, Farnam stated she needed to use the bathroom. The officer’s wouldn’t allow her to enter the bathroom with her purse, but allowed her to take what she needed out of it.

Officers then saw her retrieve a loaded syringe and spoon in an attempt to conceal them. Officers then attempted to restrain her and the items fell to the ground. She then became combative and resisted. They stunned her, to get her to comply, and she was placed under arrest.

A field test was conducted on the substance in the syringe, which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

In her previous cases there were a number of conditions placed on Farnam, when she made bond, including not possessing or using drugs or alcohol. She entered a not guilty plea to those charges earlier in July and was ordered to reappear in court October 19th.
