NAEC plans two power outages

North Arkansas Electric Cooperative will have an outage on the Wild Cherry line on Highway 223 south of Viola beginning Wednesday Morning at 9:00. According to a spokesperson from NAEC, the outage is expected to last two hours and affect approximately 60 members. It is necessary so crews can safely replace a three-phase pole that was damaged in a recent storm. It originally was set for July 14 but was rescheduled due to weather.NAEC is also planning an outage on Mount Calm Road, off of Highway 223 north of Viola, beginning Thursday morning at 8:00. It is expected to last two hours and affect approximately 20 members. Crews need to repair storm damage and cut trees.
