It’s less than a month until the new school year begins in Mountain Home, bringing needs from students of all ages as they prepare to enter the classroom. To address student needs, Bridges of Mountain Home will host its second back to school bazaar Friday afternoon, August 4th from 4 until 7 in the bus lane behind Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School.

Students of all ages in the Mountain Home Public Schools will have an opportunity to receive all of their school supplies for free.

Bridges facilitator Jill Czanstkowski, a recent guest on KTLO- FM’s’s Talk of the Town with host Kim Szecsi, says the goal of the effort is to remove the barriers students need to begin classes.

In addition, Czanstkowski says free school supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, although last year the needs of all 350 students were met.She says a grant from the Twin Lakes Future Fund-Arkansas Community Foundation was the kick start for the bazaar. However, additional vendors and sponsors are still welcome.
