Credit: Anna WeberStephen Stills and Judy Collins kick off their U.S. tour in support of their upcoming duets album, Everybody Knows, tonight at the Ravinia Festival in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois.

The record, the title of which was changed from Stills & Collins, will be released on September 22, while the trek is mapped out all the way through a November 4 concert in Brooks, California.

Everybody Knows celebrates the 50th anniversary of Stills and Collins’ musical partnership and friendship, and features new versions of songs tied into the singers’ shared history, along with some cover tunes chosen by Stephen and Judy, and a brand-new tune penned by Collins.

“We’ve talked around it for a couple of years, and we finally said, ‘Well, let’s just take a crack at it,'” Judy told ABC Radio at a recent red carpet event.  “And then all the concerts are sold out. So, we’re very delighted that we can do this.”

Songs on Everybody Knows include the Leonard Cohen-penned title track, Bob Dylan‘s “Girl from the North Country,” The Traveling Wilburys‘ “Handle with Care,” and Sandy Denny‘s “Who Knows Where the Time Goes,” which Judy previously recorded for her 1968 album of the same name. As for the tune she wrote for the project, “River of Gold,” Collins told ABC Radio that she’s “can’t get over” the fact that Stephen loves it and will be singing it with her in concert.

Everybody Knows is available for pre-order now at PledgeMusic.com, where you also can purchase signed CD and vinyl copies of the album, as well as special bundles featuring T-shirts, posters, hats, posters, tote bags and other themed merchandise.
