(AP) – A Missouri woman was sentenced to more than two years
in federal prison for stealing more than $380,000 from her employer through a
mail fraud scheme.Forty-seven-year-old Regina Allison, of El Dorado Springs, was sentenced
Wednesday to 21/2 years in prison and ordered to pay $460,404 in restitution.

Prosecutors say she stole more than $380,000 from Allison Tire Company and
Allison Oil and Supply, which is owned in part by her ex-husband. She was fired
in November 2015 when supervisors discovered she had forged checks from the
company’s accounts to pay fictitious businesses she created for her personal
benefit.

She also admitted she didn’t report the embezzled income on her federal income
tax returns, causing a loss of about $58,000 to the U.S. and $16,000 to
Missouri.
