Mountain Home Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence call at a residence along 3rd Street Tuesday evening. When they arrived, the male suspect was gone. Officers noted the victim had a deep cut above one eye and blood on her face. An ambulance was called to the scene but the victim refused treatment. Officers documented evidence of a struggle at the scene and began looking for the suspect, 30-year-old James C. Lutz of Mountain Home.

About 9:50 that evening, Lutz was located on 3rd Street after the police department received a report of an altercation between two males. Lutz was identified as one of the two subjects and was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with third degree domestic battery.

Lutz is incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $500, but is being held for a probation violation.
