The Mountain Home Police Department received 10 new bulletproof vests this week donated by the Twin Lakes Gun Club. The value of the new body armor totaled $5,650.

Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says the new vests replace body armor that has been used for the last 16 years. Chief Manuel says the new vests will be utilized by the department’s Special Response Team (SRT). The SRT is a team of officers who respond to situations that require special equipment and tactics.

The body armor was presented to Chief Manuel and the SRT officers by Twin Lakes Gun Club President Floyd Lee and Vice President Elka King.

Chief Manuel says, “We appreciate the generous donation by the Twin Lakes Gun Club, so we can
better protect our officers and serve our community.”

The donation was made possible by members of the Twin Lakes Gun Club including individual members Minute Mechanic, DeAtley Dental Care, McBride Rehabilitation Group, Training at Barren Creek, and Classic Chevy Club.
