New MH football coach opens first fall camp Monday

The Mountain Home High School football team officially opens Fall camp Monday morning as they prepare for their season opener in just over one month.

Bryan Mattox, in his first season as the Bombers’ head coach, says his team has had a good off-season. He says his team is ready for the start of fall camp even with a change with where they have to practice due to the installation of the new field turf at Bomber Stadium.

Mattox says they have worked on many things during the summer, but today is when they begin getting game ready.

Bomberfest is scheduled for August 18th. Mountain Home will host Blytheville August 24th for a pre-season scrimmage. The season will officially get started September first at home against Harrison.
