Monday was the start of preseason high school football practice in Arkansas, and one local school is preparing for its first season under new leadership. Yellville-Summit began its first session late Monday afternoon under the direction under Panthers’ head coach Lucas Morris.
Morris tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot Sports his numbers are decent so far, but there be more athletes on the way.

Morris was hired in June by Yellville-Summit after he spent the last five years as the head coach at West Memphis West Junior High School. He had already met with some of his players prior to preseason practice, and he says he is looking forward to getting them on the field.

Yellville-Summit’s season begins September 1st when they host Paris at Panther Field.
