Parolee arrested on meth charge

A Mountain Home man, 38-year-old Kelly Lee Howard, was arrested by Mountain Home Police early Thursday morning on felony charges after being pulled over for a traffic violation. According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel, an officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Howard was driving for having a headlight out.Officers learned Howard was driving on a suspended driver’s license, and he was placed under arrest. During a search, they located a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

He was charged with driving with his license suspended or revoked, no proof of insurance, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $2,500, but has a hold placed on him for a parole violation.
