MH meets West Linn, Ore., in Cal Ripken World Series

The Mountain Home 12-year-old baseball team will play its second game in the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series Friday in Branson. The local All-Stars continue group play meet West Linn, Oregon, at the Ballparks of America.

Mountain Home is 0-1 in U.S. Group D after suffering a one-run loss to Jeffersontown, Kentucky, on Thursday. West Linn is 1-0 in the tournament. The Pacific Northwest regional champions’ first game was a 10-5 victory over the North Dakota state champions from Minot.

The first pitch on Chicago Field is scheduled for eight p.m.
