Argument leads to aggravated assault charge

Micael Bolton of Mountain Home was in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday where he entered a not guilty plea to charges that he had pointed a pistol at a person during an argument allegedly involving money.Bolton, who is charged with aggravated assault, was ordered to reappear in court November 16th.

On June 30th, shortly before 10:30 a.m., Mountain Home police officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence along Bomber Boulevard. According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, the 22-year-old Bolton is alleged to have gone to the residence to pick up money said to be owned to him for work he had done.

After Bolton arrived, an argument ensued and Bolton allegedly pointed a pistol at the victim. Bolton is said to have admitted to police that he pointed the gun in what was described as a threatening manner.

Bolton is free on $5,000 bond.
