Group play comes to an end Sunday in the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series at Branson, and the Mountain Home 12-year-old baseball team will look to get its first win. The local All-Stars will be paired with Minot, North Dakota, at the Ballparks of America.

Both teams are 0-2 in U.S. Group D. Mountain Home’s last game was Friday when they suffered a two-run loss to West Linn, Oregon. Minot came into the World Series as North Dakota state champions, and they’re coming off a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Jeffersontown, Kentucky.

Sunday’s gametime was pushed back due to rainfall in the area.  The first pitch on Boston Field is now scheduled for 12:30.
