A report of suspicious activity to the Mountain Home Police Department led to the arrest of 32-year-old Amelia Pittaway of Mountain Home and 27-year-old Joshua Thompson of Bull Shoals Monday evening.
Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says officers responded to a parking lot of a local business to investigate the report. After an initial inquiry into the activity of the two individuals and securing a consent to search, officers located substances believed to be drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Both Pittaway and Thompson were charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. In addition, Thompson was charged as an habitual offender. The two were incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center on bonds of $2,500 each. Thompson also has a hold for a parole violation.
