The 2017 Pink for Peitz Rodeo is an official Tough Enough to Wear Pink event set for Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 6:00 at the Mountain Home Saddle Club Arena.

The annual event benefits the Peitz Cancer Support House, a community outreach of Baxter Regional Medical Center, providing comprehensive support services for cancer patients and their families.

Melissa Hudson, Cancer Resource Coordinator at the Peitz Cancer Support House, says the event begins with a new addition of a mechanical bull.

The Arkansas Family Rodeo presented by Rand Rodeo Company includes bronc riding, calf roping, team roping, barrel racing, goat untying, bull riding and mutton busting for children.

The Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team will also be on hand for its synchronized horseback riding event.

The Tough Enough to Wear Pink event is a nationwide initiative sponsored by Wrangler to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer through rodeos and western events.

Hudson says there are over 3,000 cancer survivors in the Mountain Home area.
