Rape suspect now facing 10 new charges

A Mountain View man, 37-year-old Matthew Ming, being held on numerous charges including rape, now faces 10 new offenses.Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds say Ming has been charged with 10 felony counts of intimidating a witness after an investigation in which he is alleged to have attempted to coerce the victim into altering her original statement to investigators.

Ming’s current charges include rape, introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, sexual assault in the second degree, and crime of video voyeurism, all felony offenses. Sheriff Bonds says these are the charges which Ming is attempting to influence the victim to change her testimony.

Ming’s bond has been revoked.
