The Baxter County Quorum Court has returned to full membership with the appointment by Governor Asa Hutchinson of Rick Steiner to fill the vacant Justice of the Peace, District 3, seat.The seat became vacant when former JP Erric Totty moved out of the district.
Steiner is a Mountain Home High School honor graduate and is employed with CenturyLink as a business systems technician. He is actively involved with the Mountain Home Lions Club, Mountain Home Rotary Club, has served on the Northeast Lakeside Fire Department Board of Commissioners, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home.
Steiner may serve in this position through the end of 2018. With the appointment, he is not eligible to seek re-election to the seat.
