Cotter starts school year with female superintendent


The new academic year begins at Cotter Public Schools with a new superintendent at the helm. Vanessa Thomas-Jones stepped into her new role on August 1.While the role is new for Thomas-Jones, the Cotter Public Schools campus is very familiar to her, having been a student there from grades K-12 and returning as a faculty member.Thomas-Jones says she has two favorite parts as an educator, with the first being getting to know the students and building relationships with them.
