Mountain Home Police arrested 51-year-old Dale Costello of Mountain Home Sunday after responding to a trespassing report at a local residence. The homeowners arrived home, after being gone for the weekend, and found Costello sleeping on their couch. When officers arrived they found him sitting on the couch in his underwear and wrapped in a blanket belonging to the homeowners. He is being held on a $2,500 bond on felony and misdemeanor charges.

According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manual, Costello gained entry into the residence by breaking a window sometime Saturday night. He told officers he was thirsty and someone was out to get him. The homeowners noticed several food items and drinks were consumed during their absence. Costello’s clothing was not found.

He was charged with felony breaking or entering and criminal mischief in the first degree, as well as misdemeanor theft of property and criminal trespassing. He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court.
