Two injured in motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 160

Two Lafayette, Indiana residents were injured in an accident Sunday afternoon on U.S. Highway 160, two miles east of Tecumseh, and taken by ambulance with moderate injuries to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 63-year-old Timothy Nicholas and 64-year-old Theresa Nicholas were westbound on a motorcycle when their vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.

A spokesperson from the hospital says Theresa was treated and released. Timothy is stable and expected to make a full recovery with release scheduled for Tuesday.

Both were wearing helmets at the time of the 2:30 p.m. accident.
