Registration is under way for the Baxter County Fair Pageant, with registration online at http://baxtercountyfair.org/ now through September 5th. There is no charge to enter. The pageant is set for Saturday evening, September 9th at 6:00 at Dunbar Auditorium.
There are eight categories, Tiny Tot King for boys ages three to five, and Tiny Tot Queen, Petite Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Miss, Princess and Queen for girls ages three to 21. There will be four winners in each category, a King and Queen, first alternate, second alternate and a Peoples Choice Award. The audience will choose the Peoples Choice by casting a vote for their favorite contestant for a donation of a $1 per vote.
This year the Baxter County Queen will receive a $500 Scholarship from Arkansas State University Mountain Home. All winners will ride in the fair parade on Wednesday, September 13th. The newly crowned Baxter County Fair Princess and Queen will be eligible to represent Baxter County at the Arkansas State Fair Contest this fall.
