Small school, big opportunities for Bakersfield students

After a summer of rebuilding from the historic devastating flood of late April, the new school year begins Thursday at the Bakersfield School District.

Bakersfield Superintendent Dr. Amy Britt says the school district’s goal for the new year remains unchanged, “To partner with our parents to provide the best education we possibly can.” For a small school, creativity is required in providing opportunities.
