Baseball and volleyball make up the local Thursday schedule.
The Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series comes to an end with the championship game at McClain Park in Mountain Home. Tallahassee, Florida, and Tri-Valley, California, will be on Pitts Field for a six p.m. first pitch.
The Mountain Home High School volleyball team will have a preseason tune-up at the Hangar. The Lady Bombers will have benefit matches with Walnut Ridge and Greene County Tech. Admission for all attendees will be four dollars, and 80 percent of the gate will go to the Arkansas Activities Association office in North Little Rock for the Catastrophe Fund. No passes, other than those issued by the Arkansas Activities Associaton, will be accpeted at the gate.
