This year the Rotary Club of Mountain Home awarded nearly $20,000 in scholarships to 26 recipients for the 2016-17 school year. Award recipients are Mikala Brotherton, Brenna Cannon, Alexis Coroch, Amanda Crow, Rachel Crowley, Vinessa Daniel, Adam Fowler, Emma Gibson, Morgan Jenkins, Madison Lewis, Camryn Mann, Mackayla Medley, Marshall Roberson, Victoria Wham, Kaci Yancey, Jaret Neal, Rebecca Crowley, Hannah Stephens, and Kailey Williams, all from Mountain Home High School; Haley Medley, Megan Urban, and Samantha Hodges from Cotter High School; Tabitha Blevins from UCA; and Katherine Weymeyer, Felipe Manolof, and Conner LaRue from the UofA.
Recently 10 of the scholars joined the Rotarians for their lunch meeting, at which they introduced themselves and told about their future plans. The funds for these annual scholarships are raised from the club’s annual Pancake Day, which will be on Saturday, Oct 28 this year.
