MH football falls to Nettleton

The Mountain Home High School football team suffered a loss Friday night at Nettleton. Brad Haworth has the story.

After a scoreless first quarter, Nettleton put 21 points on the board in the second quarter en route to a 42-0 win over the Bombers.

The Raiders had a first and goal at the four yard line on their first drive. Mountain Home kept them out of the end zone for three plays but Detavion Turner finally broke through on fourth down to score from two yards out.

Later in the second period, Deondre Henry hooked up with Will Joyner on a 37 yard touchdown pass and Marcus Isom had a two run scoring run to make it 21-0 at the half.

The Raiders added two more third quarter touchdowns and the final blow early in the fourth quarter.

Nettleton finished with 387 yards of total offense to Mountain Home’s 184.

Mountain Home continues to deal with a large number of injuries as the prepare to face Batesville at home next Friday night.
