The Mountain Home 8th and 9th grade volleyball teams both finished second over the weekend at the Spikefest Tournament at Springdale, one of the top junior high tournaments in the state.
The 9th grade team defeated Hot Springs Lakeside by scores of 25-20 and 25-14 and then topped Shiloh Christian 25-23, 15-25 and 15-12.
The 8th grade team defeated Central 17-25, 25-22 and 17-15 in their opening match and then beat Harrison 16-35, 25-14 and 17-15. They then lost to Rogers Kirksey 14-25 and 20-25.
