Arkansas deputy arrested on battery, assault, threat charges

(AP) – A central Arkansas deputy sheriff has been arrested on
battery, assault and terroristic threatening charges.Saline County jail records show Pulaski County Deputy Daniel Cantwell was
booked into jail shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday.

Jail records show he remained jailed Monday morning with no bond set. No
attorney is listed for him and details of the arrest have not been released.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Lt. Cody Burk said Cantwell has been placed on paid leave and an internal investigation has begun.
