The Izard County High School boy’s golf team won the Class 1A District 2 Golf Tournament held Tuesday at Tannenbaum Golf Club in Drasco.
The Cougars shot 262, 15 shots better than second place Concord. Calico Rock was fourth and Rural Special finished seventh.
Tyler Pemberton led the Cougars with an 84, Zach Williams shot 88 and Matthew Workman had a 90.
Calico Rock was led by Cole Whiteaker who shot 97.
On the girls side, Greers Ferry Westside won the team title. Calico Rock was third and Rural Special was fifth.
Izard County’s Mikayla Kish was medalist with an 88.
Calico Rock was led by Hannah Davis with a 122.
