An accident in Stone County Thursday has claimed the life of 57-year-old Kathryn Marvin Mayhue of Fayeteville. According to a report from Arkansas State Police Trooper Joseph Gilliland, a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Beverly Chapman of Mountain View was traveling eastbound on State Highway 66 when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck Mayhue’s vehicle.
Chapman was listed as injured as well as her passengers, 72-year-old Lawrence Chapman and 47-year-old William Chapman.
A passenger in Mayhue’s vehicle, 57-year-old Bonita Reese of O’brien, was also injured.
An update on the condition of all those injured was not immediately available of the time of this report.
The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the 6:18 p.m. accident.
