The 57th annual Hootin an Hollarin kicked off Thursday evening with the traditional queen pageant. According to the Ozark County Times Facebook posting, Payton Hubbard has been selected as the 2017 Hootin an Hollarin queen. Members of her court are Lily Parker, Miss Sweetie Pie and also a princess; Libby Pansano, deputy queen; and Cheyanne Clinton and Brandy Belt, princesses.
Queen pageant contestants dressed in their best country dresses entertain the crowd with stories of how things used to be and a square dance.
Hootin an Hollarin continues through Saturday evening.
