Two women who worked in the health care field and are charged with stealing from patients or clients were on the docket in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Mountain Home lawyer Matt Stone, who represents both women, entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Kimberly Rowe of Gassville. He told Judge John Putman there was no action to take in the case of Geneva Liveley of Dora. Liveley had earlier entered a not guilty plea to her charges.

Rowe was ordered to appear in Circuit Court September 28th, and Liveley will reappear in mid-November.

The 39-year-old Rowe, a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, provided home health services to clients while employed by two different companies. She is charged with taking prescription drugs and money from some of her clients.

The probable cause affidavit details the alleged crimes Rowe is charged with committing, including thefts from a 59-year-old cancer survivor and an 83-year-old woman.

In addition to cash, a number of prescription painkillers — including hydrocodone and oxycodone — were allegedly taken. Rowe has been terminated from the two companies where she once worked.

The 32-year-old Liveley, who was employed at a local nursing home, is charged with stealing medications intended for patients at the facility.

She was first arrested in the early morning hours of July 16th when a Mountain Home Police Officer responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver.

The vehicle, which carried Missouri license plates, was stopped. Liveley, who was the driver, bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot but was found and taken into custody. She said she tried to get away from police because she had been drinking.

When an inventory was done of her vehicle, a number of prescription medications were found belonging to other people.

After the medications were found, police began looking into how she came to have medications that showed they were intended for other people.

The investigation revealed Liveley had allegedly made a log entry indicating nine different residents at the nursing home had received their medications when, in fact, she had them in her possession when she was pulled over July 16th.

She was arrested on the theft of the prescription drugs July 25th.

According to court records, a loaded pistol, drug paraphernalia and slightly more than $1,100 in cash were found. A nametag was also located in the vehicle identifying Liveley as a nurse and listing her place of employment.
