The Calico Rock Museum Heritage & Visitor Center will be expanding their hours beginning Monday, October 2. The center will be open six days per week after that date. The new hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon and Saturday from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon.Museum Executive Director Gloria Sanders says for many years the museum wanted to be open six days per week to meet the needs of the community and visitors. Prior to the museums expanded hours, visitors to town had no public restrooms, visitor information and access to other visitor services on Mondays was scarce.
The Calico Rock Museum Foundation provides visitor center services on behalf of the City of Calico Rock.
