MH tennis teams to host Jonesboro for Thursday’s action

Football, volleyball, tennis, cross country and baseball make up the local Friday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School tennis teams will be back at the Mountain Home Athletic Club on Coley Drive as Jonesboro comes to the Twin Lakes Area. Action begins at four p.m.

In high school volleyball, Flippin travels to Clinton, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Valley Springs, Izard County heads to Hoxie, and Marshall travels to Bergman.
Mountain Home’s three junior high teams will be in front of the home crowd as they take on Salem. The seventh grade match starts at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade and freshmen matches.

Mountain Home’s freshmen football squad will be on the road as they meet Clinton. Kickoff at Jim Tumlinson Field is scheduled for 6:30.
In other junior high football, Yellville-Summit hosts Mountain View, Salem entertains East Poinsett County, Melbourne makes the trip to Marshall, and Harrison heads to Fort Smith to face Darby.

The Mountain Home junior high and seventh grade cross country teams will be across the state line to take part in the Willow Springs Open. The start time is set for 3:30.

In fall baseball, Gainesville travels to Hartville.
