Pine Bluff tops Mountain Home

Pine Bluff jumped on Mountain Home early Friday night at Bomber Stadium and cruised to their fourth straight victory. Brad Haworth has the details.

The Zebras scored on all five of their first half possessions to build a 36-0 halftime lead and went on to beat Mountain Home 36-14.

Pine Bluff took the opening kick off and went 66 yards to get the scoring started on an 11 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Foots to Deaondre Ellison.

Their second possession was a two-play 71 yard drive that lasted just 18 seconds and put them ahead 16-0.

Foots threw three more touchdown passes in the first half, hooking up with Caleb Sloan on a seven yard score, and hitting Rod Stinson with scoring strikes from 19 and 28 yards out.

Mountain Home would put together two long drives in the second half to put points on the board. A nine play, 54 yard drive was capped by a one yard touchdown run by Isaac McKay.

Mountain Home, after forcing Pine Bluff to a three and out, put together a nine-play 63 yard drive that Reece Wenfeldt finished with an 11 yard touchdown run.

Pine Bluff finished with 316 yards of total offense while the Bombers had 215.

Mountain Home falls to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the 6A East. The Zebras improve to 4-1 and 2-0.

Mountain Home will travel to Jacksonville next Friday night.
