Bombers bounced from state golf tourney; Ludwig, McClain advance

The Mountain Home High School golf team was eliminated from the Class 6A State Tournament Monday in Jonesboro, but two of its golfers will advance to play for the individual title.

The Bombers finished ninth on the team leaderboard with a total of 382. Jonesboro’s team total is 307 as they are four strokes ahead of Greenwood.

Bradley Ludwig and Gage McClain will represent Mountain Home on the second day of competition as they finished among the first day’s top eight individual scores. Ludwig shot an 86, and McClain finished with a 91. Both golfers will return to Jonesboro Country Club Tuesday with a tee time of 8 a.m.
