District play began Wednesday for high school softball in Missouri.
Bakersfield watched its season come to an end in the Class 1, District 1 Tournament at Poplar Bluff. The Lady Lions fell to Naylor by a score of 9-2. Bakersfield’s final record for the year is 4-13.
Gainesville was able to eliminated the host team of the Class 2, District 1 Tournament at Hartville. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Eagles 17-15. Gainesville advances to the semifinals with a record of 5-17.
Branson won its opener in the Class 4, District 11 Tournament at Parkview High School in Springfield. The Lady Pirates topped the host Lady Vikings 10-7. Branson improves to 16-13 on the season.
