MHHS to host Beebe Thursday for volleyball

Football, volleyball, softball and basketball make up the local Thursday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team continues district play as they welcome Beebe to the Hangar. The freshmen match begins at 4 p.m. followed by the varsity match.
Elsewhere, Cotter travels to Clinton, Flippin makes the short trip to Yellville-Summit, Izard County hosts Pocahontas, and Bergman heads to Valley Springs.

District play continues for high school softball in Missouri.
Two area schools will compete in the semifinals of the Class 2, District 1 Tournament at Hartville. Top-seeded Ava faces Houston at 4:00, and Gainesville takes on Mansfield at 5:30.
West Plains is the number one seed for the Class 3, District 11 Tournament at Logan-Rogersville High School. The Lady Zizzers’ semifinal game will be at 4:30 against Reeds Spring.
Branson returns to Parkview High School in Springfield for the semifinals of the Class 4, District 11 Tournament. The Lady Pirates will be paired with top-seeded Springfield Kickapoo at 4:30.

In junior high football, Yellville-Summit travels to Marshall, Salem makes the trip to Marked Tree, Melbourne entertains Clinton, and Harrison is home against Fort Smith Ramsey.

A couple of local high schools are giving their fans a chance to preview the upcoming basketball season. Norfork plays its Red-White Games, and Bruno-Pyatt will host the Patriot Games.
