Three people were transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 178 near Lakeview.Grover Township Fire Chief Jim Sierzchula says the accident occurred about 4:15 at the intersection of Edgewood Bay Drive and Trimble Flats Road and involved a car and a pickup truck.
Sierzchula says the two occupants of the truck and the driver of the car were all transported to BRMC for treatment, of what appeared to be, non-life-threatening injuries. He says while the impact was significant requiring both vehicles to be towed from the scene, the car continued traveling west for about 800 feet after the crash before coming to rest.
The identity of the drivers and the passenger in the truck was not available. The accident was investigated by Arkansas State Police.
