(AP) _ Human remains found in Pine Bluff last month have been identified as those of man last seen seven months ago.Pine Bluff Police say 39-year-old William Hopson was last seen March 15 at a spot about 11.2 miles from where skeletal remains were found Sept. 27. The state Crime Lab used the man’s clothing, belongings and records of surgical implants to determine the remains were Hopson’s.

It still isn’t known how Hopson died. Police said there were no signs of trauma.

At the time Hopson was last seen, police said he had been homeless but that he had family in the White Hall area. Last month, police reported the discovery of a body that had been “completely skeletonized.”
