A one-vehicle crash in Newton County on State Hwy. 21 three miles south of Boxley has claimed the life of a Texas man and injured a second person.
Arkansas State Police Trooper Jason Hutcheson reports the accident occurred Thursday evening at 5:45 when the vehicle traveling north and driven by 54-year-old Darrell Glen White of Trinity, Texas exited the roadway, overturned on the driver’s side and crashed into an embankment.
Injured in the crash was 44-year-old Rhonda Blake Bennett, also of Trinity, who was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The report notes the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
