A few area high school golfers were in Little Rock Thursday as they competed in the Overall State Golf Tournament at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
The girls’ title was won by Elizabeth Moon of Forrest City as she shot a two-under-par 70. Izard County’s Mikayla Kish finished 12th with a 94, Josie Love of Melbourne was 13th with a 97, Mountain Home’s Kenzie Collins ended up tied for 14th place with a 99, and Kelis Huebner was 20th with a 110.
Connor Gaunt of Cabot took the medalist honor on the boys’ side. Tyler Pemberton of Izard County finished in a tie for 17th place with an 87.
