The Mountain Home High School volleyball team secured a state tournament berth as they won their opener in 6A-East Conference Tournament at Bomber Gymnasium. The Lady Bombers beat Little Rock Hall in straight sets after posting scores of 25-5, 25-2 and 25-5. Claudia Carter led Mountain Home with 12 kills, Charlie Pierce had nine kills, and Leah Jackson dished out 24 assists and recorded eight aces. The Lady Bombers improve to 18-7 on the year, and they’ll return to the home court for their semifinal match Tuesday at 5 p.m.
