Norfork City Council to announce vacancy

The Norfork City Council’s regular October session is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 6:30 at Norfork City Hall. According to Mayor Lisa Harrison, the Council will declare the vacancy of the Ward I, Position II seat previously held by Eric Stover. Other items on the meeting’s agenda include a review of September’s reports.Under items of unfinished business a retirement plan for Norfork Police Officer Dempsey Thompson will continue its discussion.

Under new business a business licenses for Jason Aamodt and Todd Bradbury will be reviewed as well as an insurance check.  Carol Whitehead’s driveway, gravel on the road at Old Farm Place and the new budget for the upcoming year will also be discussed.

An update concerning the duties of the Recorder/Treasurer will be reviewed.

Announcements to be made include the Wolf House soft opening, an update on the walkthrough of the old school house for a haunted house, to open later in October, and a conference to be held in January.

The public is encouraged to attend all meetings and should call 499-5225 one week prior to a meeting to be included on the agenda. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon.

Mayor Harrison says the Planning Commission meeting is scheduled to meet October 30th.
