A Harrison man has been arrested in connection with the theft of items from the National Park Service. The arrest this week marks the third time since June that 26-year-old Jacob Little has been arrested and charged with multiple felony theft related offenses. He has been tied to at least 10 Boone County theft related cases, as well as numerous theft related cases out of the City of Harrison.

Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore says an investigation began Monday with a report that a Park Service patrol vehicle had been broken into and equipment taken.

Sheriff Moore says having worked a number of recent cases involving Little, an officer located property in the Harrison man’s possession very similar to what the National Park Service had reported stolen.

Boone County Sheriff’s investigators, along with Park Service personnel, executed a search warrant at Little’s home and property. Officers were able to successfully recover almost all of the NPS stolen property, as well as additional stolen property from two other cases that were currently under investigation. Little was taken into custody Thursday and later confessed his involvement with the NPS theft and other cases. He is currently incarcerated at the Boone County Jail with no bond.
