A Gainesville man, 32-year-old Chaz Benjamin Brock, is facing three felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Norfork on Wednesday morning.

According to the probable cause affidavit made available Monday, Brock was arrested on charges for driving on a suspended license and no insurance. In his possession, a Norfork police officer found a loaded syringe containing a red liquid substance, a glass smoking device laced with methamphetamine residue and other drug paraphernalia. The red liquid field tested positive for fentanyl.

Brock was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with purpose to deliver, fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia used for consumption, methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia used for delivery of methamphetamine, all felony counts.

He was released from the Baxter County Detention Center Sunday afternoon after posting a bond of $10,995 and is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month to respond to the charges.
