Mountain Home man arrested after probation visit

A Mountain Home man, 58-year-old Brian Scott Hand, was arrested Monday on felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation after a compliance visit was conducted at his residence. According to the arrest affidavit, Hand has a warrantless search on file as a condition of his probation. A search of the home found numerous items of drug paraphernalia appearing to be used for the consumption of methamphetamine.The items included several plastic baggies containing a white powder residue believed to be methamphetamine, a spoon containing a white residue, multiple syringes, located in a hole in the floor of the residence, a marijuana grinder containing a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe.

Hands bond is set at $2,500 and he is expected to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
